Based in the heart of Cambridgeshire

Gemms specialises in the marketing of fresh flowers and produce throughout the UK

Gemms was established by Gary Emms, whose family has had a wealth of experience in the growing, marketing and distribution of produce since the early 1950s.

On a daily basis we deliver to our broad customer base throughout the UK which includes the main wholesale markets:

New Covent Garden, New Spitalfields, Western International Market, Southampton, Brighton, Cardiff, Bristol, Leicester, Nottingham, Birmingham, Wolverhampton, Sheffield, Leeds, Bradford, Liverpool, Manchester, Gateshead and Glasgow via an extensive distribution network.

Today Gemms operates in a global marketplace, and as well as having strong links with British growers, Gemms imports from Europe, Africa and Asia to supply a range of sectors throughout the UK Quality and freshness of product are always of paramount importance.

We offer our growers/suppliers marketing agreements based on fixed price, free market and combinations throughout the seasonal calendar.

Logistics

Gemms has access to excellent distribution facilities

On a daily basis Gemms has distribution access to all the main supermarket pre-packers and wholesale markets throughout the UK These wholesale markets include New Covent Garden, New Spitalfields, Western International, Southampton, Brighton, Cardiff, Bristol, Leicester, Nottingham, Birmingham, Wolverhampton, Sheffield, Leeds, Bradford, Liverpool, Manchester, Gateshead and Glasgow. We also access secondary wholesalers and service providers located throughout the country. All vehicles are monitored via a 24 hour tracking system.

Quality control is an integral part of the Gemms operation, should products fall below standard we provide all suppliers with a detailed quality control report.

Our organisation ensures a smooth and efficient service from source to supply.
